Ok, pay attention now. I may be breaking down the bike for parts. The reason being is because this past Sunday I was out for a leisurely cruise and was heading north on 47 when someone decided to make Uturn right in front of me. I had no option,at 50 miles an hour, but to brake and brace for impact. U couldn't go to the left because of a line cars heading south. Couldn't go right because there was slumber truck waiting to co!e out into traffic. And holy shit, what an impact!: He came out about 30 or 40 feet in front of me. Long story short the bike met his front fender and I was told I sailed over his front end and landed directly on my head. So now I have an excuse for some of the stupid shit I might say and do. I haven't seen the bike as yet but friends tell me it's pretty fucked up. So there's the parts part of this story. Quick booboo list. Jammed joints, bruises and the obligatory road rashes. 2 fractures in left hand and 2 fractures in the pelvis. Currently at Bacharach for rehab. OYEAH THIS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!. Now for the small world part. I'm laid up in the bed at Atlantic Care Trauma. This nurse walls in and starts asking questions. GUESS who cheif? Some dude named Brad. Seems to know what he's doin. Nice guy too! Oh yeah, I think I have convinced him to buy the bike for $6000.00. Of course he was looking at some old pics on this site.

Wow Dennis,  really sorry to read this my friend,  I hate hearing stories like this,  and even more so when it happens to a friend.  Glad it was not any more serious than it was!  Sending positive thoughts,  and sounds like a small world with chief JR being there to take of you! God Speed on your full recovery

OK bike is totalled. Forks and trees are bent to hell. Frame is bent just in front of the swingarm. Tank has several dents. Rear fender cracked. And a whole bunch of other shit is scratched, bent and otherwise F'd up! Insurance will give a hair over $4,200.00. So the wife drove me around last week to look at some new bikes while I was still in the wheel chair. I've narrowed it down to a couple possibilities. The ins. money will make a nice down payment. Hmmmmmmm, 2002 1800. I don't know? I've heard this guy rides em  like he stole em! And who knows what kinda maintenance has been done. I don't know!!! But anyway you're a day late and I am now more than a dollar short. Got my new ride yesterday. I can't actually ride it yet but when I can it will be in the shop and ready to go. Maybe a couple weeks. And I gotta say this, I love my wife! After 2 pretty bad accidents and her taking care of my sorry ass, she was good with my getting another bike. Not exactly enthusiastic but OK with it. I hate when she's nice to me! It makes it hard to be a dick sometimes. (sometimes) SEE YA ON THE ROAD!

OK, I saw it on line and then Jan drove me up to look at it. It's a 2015 out of the crate Yamaha Raider S. I was looking at Victory but I just can't bring myself to ride a bagger or sit behind a fairing and wind shield. Maybe when I'm 80. A friend has one and I saw Boll and Ang's. I'm just not ready for that kinda ride. This Raider is a pretty bad ass bike. 1854cc\113 ci. EFI,210 rear tire, 6* triple tree, belt drive, an actual gas gauge, self cancelling turn signals, shit load of chrome. Do not care for the exhaust, that will change. And don't like the paint. It has decals under the clear. Done nicely but decals just look cheap to me. So I'm gonna attempt vinyl wrap. There are some very nice choices. You can even get them with metal flake. It's relatively simple to do. Over all has good reviews and history. They've been around for a while. But when all is said and done, I'm gonna miss my VTX!!! She had over 78,000 miles and I really wanted to break 100,000. Maybe this one! No pics. Bringin it home on a trailer tomorrow.
